Primaris welcomes Patricia Wyatt to Board of Directors
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Today Primaris announced Patricia A. Wyatt, of Kansas City, Mo., as the newest member of its board of directors. The nonprofit Primaris serves as Missouri’s Medicare Quality Improvement Organization.
“We’re pleased to welcome Ms. Wyatt to our board. She brings a wide range of knowledge and invaluable experience, particularly in the nursing home industry,” said Richard A. Royer, Primaris CEO.
Wyatt is the president and CEO of Swope Ridge Geriatric Center of Kansas City, one of the largest Medicaid geriatric centers in Missouri. As a registered nurse, she has worked in intensive cardiac care nursing, health care planning and mental health care.
In addition, Wyatt has 20 years of experience with a major hotel chain in sales management and public relations, and has served as a volunteer on numerous civic and social organizations. These include the boards of the Greater Kansas City Heart of America United Way, Center for Management Assistance and the Kansas City Community Development Corporation.
Wyatt is currently on the board for Research Hospital, the Research School of Nursing and the American Stroke Foundation. She is a newly elected member of the Missouri Health Care Association. She has also held a presidential appointment for three years in Washington D.C. with the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services.
Based in Columbia, Mo., Primaris works with health care providers – doctors, nursing homes, home health agencies and hospitals – to refine quality of care. Primaris performs clinical review of Medicare quality complaints and also operates CLAIM, a free, unbiased Medicare help program for Missourians.
Primaris’ mission is to improve health care delivery and outcomes by promoting excellence, advancing knowledge and developing innovative solutions for physicians, other providers, businesses, government, patients and consumers.
